Employees of IT Staffing Company Optomi Spend Workday Helping Others

November 4, 2014 • Roswell, GeorgiaOptomi is hosting its annual charitable Opt-to-Give event, making a significant impact in communities nationwide on the anniversary of the business being established. On November 5th, the company’s employees go out into their communities to spend the workday serving charitable organizations. Dedication to its people and their local communities and compassion for those in need are central to the mission of Optomi.

In only its second year of business, Optomi now has a presence in seven locations throughout the U.S. including Atlanta (Optomi headquarters), Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orange County, Baltimore and Detroit. Optomi’s employees, now 55 strong, will be significantly impacting families and children on Opt-to-Give Day. “We’re delighted that our unprecedented growth in these first two years is enabling us to have an increasingly meaningful influence with our charitable efforts in the communities we operate in”, added Michael Winwood, Optomi CEO.

During last year’s event, with just 20 people, Optomi employees packed 11,000 lbs of food for those in need, helped feed over 18,000 kids and helped renovate a home for children ages 8-18 with their efforts. On November 5, 2014, over 50 employees will be feeding children, mentoring underprivileged kids, beautifying family shelters & schools and helping build a home. The organizations Optomi will be serving are: East Atlanta Kids Club, Parks and People Franklin School, Good Elementary School, Family Shelter Service and Habitat for Humanity. “We’re giving back in a tangible way because it is important to Optomi that we impact our communities. It’s one of the core beliefs of the company”, remarked Todd Black, Optomi COO.
