20 Aug Giving hope to job seekers
From Roswell United Methodist Church:
The community is invited to a Job Networking “Mini” Job Fair on Monday, Aug. 26, to meet with employers such as General Motors (first time attending), ComCast Cable, award-winning CaraVita Home Healthcare, Northwest Exterminating, and Optomi, to name a few. The list of employers grows daily and can be found at www.rumcjobnetworking.com.
Job Networking is a ministry of Roswell United Methodist Church (RUMC), located at 814 Mimosa Blvd., in the Heart of Historic Roswell. Job Networking activities are in the “B” building.
The “Mini” Job Fair begins at 7:30 p.m. but the full day starts for job seekers at 12:30 p.m. with Crossroads Career Workshops plus 26 others. Participants can have their free LinkedIn photo taken, stay for dinner, learn how to develop a professional resume, practice interviewing skills with a job coach, and more. RUMC partners with the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Roswell, and the Roswell Business Alliance to provide the program.
The Job Networking program on Aug. 12 featured dinner speaker Dan Guelzo, who shared about having hope during the job search. During a previous meeting, Dan’s Optomi Roswell Team had also served as industry experts in the job search quest for 400+ attendees.
