Optomi’s Baltimore team volunteers at Pauls Place

We teamed up with Paul’s Place in Baltimore yesterday, an organization we have a long-standing relationship with that provides programs, services, and support to the area’s underprivileged residents. What we love most about Paul’s Place is their motto: treat everyone with dignity and respect – and we all have fun doing it!

Rob Wallace was put in charge of their computer lab where he helped people create email accounts, spruce up their resumes, and apply for jobs.  The rest of the group took turns organizing the clothing donations for Paul’s Place “store” – where local residents get a personal shopping experience along with providing appropriate outfits for job interviews – and serving lunch.  It’s always amazing to see how grateful and respectful the guests are to all volunteers and appreciate being given a hot meal with healthy options.

Overall, it was another humbling experience for everyone!  Between the opening Paul’s Place meeting where we take turns reading inspirational quotes aloud to interacting with guests who were eager to learn all about Optomi, there was no shortage of smiling from the group!
