Consultant of the Quarter Q2 2022

It is our pleasure to announce our Q2 Consultant of the Quarter – Barry O’Connell!

Each quarter, we honor an Optomi consultant for sharing our core values…Barry happens to be exemplary in every one of them.

INNOVATIVE: This isn’t an easy one for a Database Admin, but the team at a leading testing laboratory has taken Barry’s strategies and implemented them consistently since day one. He has made changes and suggested a multitude of new approaches for their environment.

RESPECTFUL: I can’t count the number of times that Barry has thanked me for helping him find his position.

CONNECTED: Has referred me other candidates to work with, and even though he has relocated to SC, Barry is still heavily involved with local level politics in his hometown in Maryland.

GENUINE: He calls it like he sees it. I have to be careful, because any phone call with Barry can easily turn into a lengthy (and enjoyable) conversation.

DEDICATED: Has been in the IT field since 1993.

PASSIONATE: When I asked Barry if he had a philanthropy he supported, he immediately sent me the Facebook page for HER Resiliency Center. He has a personal connection to one of the success stories that this organization impacted, a young lady rescued from homelessness and prostitution who went on to get a college degree and work as a Senior Staff Member in the US Senate.

Each quarter, we honor an Optomi consultant for sharing our core values by awarding them a $250 donation to the charity of their choice. O’Connell has chosen HER Resiliency Center in Washington D.C. (HER is a survivor-led, peer-based organization) as his charity beneficiary.
