Consultant Of The Quarter – Q3 2015

We are so excited to announce our newest Consultant of the Quarter, Mike Smithgall!

Every quarter, Optomi recognizes one of our consultants that shares in our core values. Mike was nominated by his recruiter, Kurt Hanaway from Optomi’s Chicago office.

“Mike has been with us on the BMO project since mid October 2014. He moved from Florida (away from his family) for this opportunity and has since moved his wife to the Chicagoland area.

I know Mike has had other opportunities presented to him, but he has a true “consultant mentality.” Regardless of any difficulties that would arise on the project, Mike has the attitude that “I signed up for a project and I am going to see it through to completion”. His Direct Manager (a full-time employee) recently left and some resources on his team were let go due to budget cuts. Mike has stepped up and is currently doing the work of 3-4 people.

He is a genuine guy and truly cares about helping others in their current and future endeavors and has referred other great candidates and provided references for his colleagues on the project.”

When told about Mike’s award, his manager, Mikki Denson had this to say:

“Mike has gone over and beyond the call of duty when he volunteered to stay on sight in Franklin, TN and work directly with the Vendor. His flexibility and adaptability during this period has definitely contributed to the success realized as the product has gone live into Production.

Mike represents what a true team member really is. He has stepped up on multiple occasions, but the one that sticks out is when our Test Manager left the Team. Mike accepted the challenge of providing direction and leadership to the Team with no complaint. As a result, the Team built closer relationships with the Business and the overall task was completed to the best of their ability.”

Every quarter, when Optomi recognizes one of our consultants for sharing in our core values and we make a $250 donation to the charity of their choice as a way of saying thank you. This quarter, Mike has selected The Center on Halsted near his new Chicago apartment saying “I can’t think of a better way to introduce myself to the neighborhood than to make a donation to The Center on Halsted. The Chicago-based non-profit provides resources and support to the LGBTQ community.
