Optomi Dallas Partners with The TGB Foundation and Vogel Alcove for the 10th Annual Opt2give Day

Our Dallas crew got started a little early with their Opt2give Day volunteering! Their giving back efforts began with packing 405 meal bags for the children of Vogel Alcove homeless shelter, where they have been volunteering for the past 3 years.

These snack sacks called Bye-Bye bags provide additional nutrition when the children are away from Vogel Alcove, helping to bridge the gap between meals. These bags are also used when families drop by with hungry kids, or when a family will not be receiving dinner at their shelter. Vogel Alcove’s mission is to help young children and their families overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness. Their goal is to make sure that every child in our community has a home, a self-sufficient family, and a foundation for success in school and life.

While packing bags for Vogel Alcove, the team also packed 100 TGBash Bags that were donated to Children’s Health Dallas. These entertainment bags are supplied by The TGB Foundation, an impact-driven nonprofit created in honor of late Optomi cofounder Todd Black. Todd always preached that small things make the biggest impact, and there’s no doubt these bags will impact the lives of so many little patients.

Cheers to 10 x 10 more years of giving back!
